We are Stalon

In the middle of nowhere lies a small village surrounded by forests, mountains, and peaks. In a valley on the edge of the Swedish highlands, you’ll find Stalon. It’s a tiny village with about thirty inhabitants. Here, we live by and for nature. We harvest and fill our pantries with everything the wilderness offers. The air we breathe gives us energy - pure, crisp, and free.

In one way or another, we were all born into hunting. It’s a natural part of our everyday lives, something we pour our hearts and souls into, a way of living. When mushrooms fill our pantry, berries our fridge, and fish our freezer, moose and birds keep us fed all year round.

A little over thirty years ago, closer to forty now, in fact, Kjell Axelsson started a small workshop in his barn. Kjell is the father of Daniel Axelsson. When Daniel returned home, he brought new knowledge into that same barn, and the company took a new direction. From subcontracting for companies like Volvo, Koenigsegg, and IKEA, interest began to grow in developing silencers. Since Daniel was, and still is, deeply passionate about hunting, and the machines were already there, he created the very first prototype. Around that time, Daniel met Maria, and together they took Stalon AB from a small barn to a full-scale industry.

Stalon silencers are manufactured right here in Stalon, in the middle of radio nowhere. Every single part is made by us, out in the wilderness. We test our silencers in the most demanding environments imaginable. The northern climate demands equipment that’s durable and reliable, capable of performing under extreme conditions. We are hunters ourselves, and we know what hunters need.

It can be hard to imagine the size of our small village. It can be hard to grasp that Stalon is both the name of a place and a company. Often, Stalon is seen as just a stop along the way; maybe you refuel your car or buy some fishing bait. It’s the crossroads between two valleys in the municipality of Vilhelmina and doesn’t look like much at first glance. But if you turn off onto a small gravel road, you’ll suddenly find what looks like a large red house. Inside, surrounded by nature, is an industry producing high-quality hunting silencers for the rest of the world. From a small place, where no one would ever expect such things to happen, to you, wherever you are. We live and breathe what we do.
