Short answer: The Stalon Venti silencers are flow-through suppressors. It vents gas forward instead of trapping it, so it creates controlled back pressure and runs on a gas-operated semi-automatic with no gas-system tuning. In short, it’s plug-and-play: mount it and shoot. With a conventional suppressor, you’d have to adjust the gas pressure to run it on a semi-auto; with the Venti, you don’t. The ejection angle may shift slightly, but what actually matters is that the cases land in the same place and don’t scatter.

DOES A SILENCER INCREASE CHAMBER PRESSURE?
No. Peak chamber pressure is set by the cartridge and load, and it peaks while the bullet is still in the barrel — long before the gas even reaches the muzzle. Because a suppressor is a muzzle device, it can’t raise that peak. What it changes instead is the pressure impulse: it keeps pressure elevated slightly longer, stretching the “gas dwell time.” As a result, the peak doesn’t get taller; the curve simply gets longer. That longer impulse, in other words, is what people are really describing when they say “back pressure.”
WHY CONVENTIONAL SILENCERS NEED GAS TUNING ON A SEMI-AUTO
A conventional silencer traps gas in a sealed baffle stack. Consequently, that spikes back pressure and forces extra gas into the action, which over-gasses a semi-auto: more blowback toward the shooter, a harsher reload, and more fouling. Since a silencer like that isn’t built for semi-autos, you have to adjust the gas system to run it properly — for example, with an adjustable gas block, a heavier buffer, or a smaller gas port to bring the reload back under control.
WHAT A FLOW-THROUGH DESIGN DOES DIFFERENTLY
A flow-through design, by contrast, routes the gas forward through internal channels instead of trapping it, keeping back pressure controlled and blowback low. In fact, flow-through suppressors are widely reported to give a smoother reload, less gas blowback, and better reliability. That’s exactly what the Venti front is: in Stalon’s terms, controlled back pressure with reduced blowback toward the barrel and operating system. This is why it’s mount-and-shoot, with no adjustments needed.

WHY DOES THE EJECTION ANGLE CHANGE WITH A SILENCER – AND DOES IT MATTER?
Two things nudge it: a little more gas in the system, and reduced recoil, since a suppressor lowers recoil so the rifle moves less during the milliseconds the case is ejecting. A slight forward shift is therefore normal and not a fault.
That said, the angle isn’t really the point — consistency is. When cases land in the same tight spot, shot after shot, it means the action reloads the same way every time. Conversely, brass that scatters means a reload that varies from shot to shot, which on a semi-auto usually points to an over-gassed system. Because the Venti keeps back pressure controlled, the reload typically stays more consistent — and so, in turn, does ejection.
