Oktober 2025 \u2013 Gepr\u00fcft nach MIL-STD-1474D<\/p>\n    <p class=\"guide-intro\">\n      MIL-STD-1474D \u2013 unser \u201eMIL-Standard\u201c \u2013 ist die Methode, auf die wir uns bei allen Schallmessungen st\u00fctzen. Indem wir diese milit\u00e4rische Spezifikation exakt befolgen, k\u00f6nnen wir f\u00fcr jeden Stalon-Schalld\u00e4mpfer ehrliche, reproduzierbare und vergleichbare Daten liefern.     <\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"guide-hero-img\">\n      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stalonsilencer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Noise-measurements-suppressors.jpg\" alt=\"Stalon Noise Measurements\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; object-fit: cover; display: block;\">\n    <\/div>\n\n    <section class=\"guide-section\">\n      <div class=\"guide-sec-header\">\n        <h2 class=\"guide-sec-title\">Ger\u00e4usche verstehen<\/h2>\n        <p class=\"guide-sec-sub\">Was der Schalld\u00e4mpfer reduzieren kann \u2013 und was nicht<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"guide-grid-main\">\n        <article class=\"guide-main-card\">\n          <p>\n            <strong>MIL-STD-1474D<\/strong>, die robuste Abk\u00fcrzung, die wir noch weiter zur MIL-Norm verk\u00fcrzen, ist der aktuelle Standard zur Messung von Ger\u00e4uschpegeln von Waffen und\/oder Schalld\u00e4mpfern. Dieser Standard legt das genaue Verfahren fest und wie der Test durchzuf\u00fchren ist, um ein pr\u00e4zises und ehrliches Ergebnis zu erhalten. Wir verwenden MIL-STD-1474D f\u00fcr alle unsere Schallmessungen gem\u00e4\u00df dem Standard, und dadurch k\u00f6nnen wir ein korrektes Ergebnis der Ger\u00e4uschmessungen unserer Schalld\u00e4mpfer pr\u00e4sentieren.            <\/p>\n          <p>\n            Die Messung der Schall- bzw. Ger\u00e4uschpegel von Schusswaffen mit Schalld\u00e4mpfer erfordert umfangreiche Erfahrung und Fachwissen. Der typische Schall bzw. L\u00e4rm einer Schusswaffe entsteht durch zwei Dinge. Zum einen durch die pl\u00f6tzliche Freisetzung hei\u00dfer, hochdruckiger Treibgase im Lauf, zum anderen durch das Ger\u00e4usch des Geschosses im Flug (\u00dcberschallknall).            <\/p>\n          <p>\n            Das Ger\u00e4usch des \u00dcberschallknalls oder des abgefeuerten Projektils entsteht in gro\u00dfer Entfernung au\u00dferhalb einer Schusswaffe und\/oder au\u00dferhalb einer mit einem Schalld\u00e4mpfer ausgestatteten Schusswaffe und kann vom Schalld\u00e4mpfer nicht beeinflusst werden. Der Schall der \u00dcberschallgeschwindigkeit des Geschosses (\u00dcberschallknall) oder wenn das Geschoss auf etwas trifft, hat einen h\u00f6heren Ger\u00e4uschpegel, als viele erwarten. Dies l\u00e4sst sich veranschaulichen, wenn man auf einem offenen Feld im Vergleich zum Schie\u00dfen in einem tiefen Wald schie\u00dft, wo der Schall mit gr\u00f6\u00dferer Kraft zur\u00fcckprallt als auf dem offenen Feld.            <\/p>\n          <p>\n            Das Ger\u00e4usch, das durch die Freisetzung hei\u00dfer Hochdruckgase entsteht, sind Gase der eigentlichen Schie\u00dfpulverexplosion. Diese Gase haben einen extrem hohen Druck und erzeugen beim Verlassen der Bohrung\/des Laufs einen Impulsschall und dehnen sich schnell auf den Druck der Umgebungsluft aus. Dieses Gas kann durch bestimmte Techniken in einem Schalld\u00e4mpfer reduziert werden, indem der Druck der Gase vor der Freisetzung in die Atmosph\u00e4re (Umgebungsluft) verlangsamt und reduziert wird.            <\/p>\n        <\/article>\n\n        <aside class=\"guide-aside\">\n          <p class=\"guide-aside-label\">Kurze Definition<\/p>\n          <h3 class=\"guide-aside-title\">Zwei Ger\u00e4uschquellen<\/h3>\n          <p><strong>Treibgase.<\/strong>  Hei\u00dfe Hochdruckgase, die den Lauf verlassen. Dies ist, was der Schalld\u00e4mpfer tats\u00e4chlich kontrollieren kann. <\/p>\n          <p><strong>\u00dcberschallknall.<\/strong>  Das Geschoss im Flug und beim Aufprall. Stalon AB verwendet diese Methode f\u00fcr alle Ger\u00e4uschmessungen mit einem exakten Aufbau gem\u00e4\u00df den Vorgaben des Standards. Dies ist ein sehr wichtiges Verfahren, um ein pr\u00e4zises und genaues Ergebnis der Ger\u00e4uschreduzierung der Stalon-Schalld\u00e4mpfer pr\u00e4sentieren zu k\u00f6nnen.          <\/p>\n        <p>\n          MIL-STD-1474D legt das genaue Verfahren und die Durchf\u00fchrung des Tests fest, einschlie\u00dflich Schallpegelmessger\u00e4t-Typ, Mikrofonpositionen, Bedienerpositionen, Umgebung usw. Er gibt zentrale Werte vor, um eine korrekte Messung umzusetzen und ein zuverl\u00e4ssiges sowie konsistentes Ergebnis zu erhalten.         <\/p>\n        <p>\n          Etwas Wichtiges, das man beim Diskutieren von Ger\u00e4uschreduzierung und beim Vergleichen von Schalld\u00e4mpfern verstehen muss, ist, wie und warum die eigentliche Ger\u00e4uschmessung durchgef\u00fchrt wurde. Wir messen Ger\u00e4uschpegel gem\u00e4\u00df dem aktuellen Standard, den wir intern als MIL-Standard bezeichnen. Dieser Standard legt die genauen Positionen f\u00fcr jedes Modul und die technische Ausr\u00fcstung fest, die im Test verwendet werden sollen.          <\/p>\n\n        <div class=\"guide-diagram-img\">\n          <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stalonsilencer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Noise-measurements-MIL-STD-1474D.jpg\" alt=\"Measurement Setup Diagram\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; object-fit: cover; display: block;\">\n        <\/div>\n\n        <p>\n          Der L\u00e4rm wird mit einem Schallpegelmessger\u00e4t gemessen, das <strong>100 Zentimeter und 90 Grad links vom Laufm\u00fcndungsaustritt<\/strong> des Schalld\u00e4mpfers positioniert ist. Wenn Sie m\u00f6chten, k\u00f6nnen Sie eine Referenzposition am \u201eOhr des Sch\u00fctzen\u201c hinzuf\u00fcgen; dadurch f\u00e4llt das Ergebnis um etwa 8\u201310 dBc niedriger aus. Z. B. reduziert Stalon VICTOR den L\u00e4rm gem\u00e4\u00df MIL-Standard (.308w) auf etwa <strong>141 dBc<\/strong>, w\u00fcrde jedoch <strong>132 dBc<\/strong> anzeigen, gemessen am \u201eOhr des Sch\u00fctzen\u201c. XE149 reduziert den L\u00e4rm am Laufm\u00fcndungsaustritt auf <strong>132,5 dBc<\/strong>, w\u00fcrde jedoch am \u201eOhr des Sch\u00fctzen\u201c <strong>123,5 dBc<\/strong> anzeigen.           <\/p>\n\n        <div class=\"guide-keystrip\">\n          <div class=\"guide-key\">\n            <span>VICTOR<\/span>\n            <span>141 dBc (MIL) \u2192 132 dBc am Ohr des Sch\u00fctzen<\/span>\n          <\/div>\n          <div class=\"guide-key\">\n            <span>XE149<\/span>\n            <span>132,5 dBc (MIL) \u2192 123,5 dBc am Ohr des Sch\u00fctzen<\/span>\n          <\/div>\n          <div class=\"guide-key\">\n            <span>Mikrofonposition<\/span>\n            <span>100 cm \/ 90\u00b0 links vom M\u00fcndungsaustritt, 160 cm \u00fcber kurzgeschnittenem Gras<\/span>\n          <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n        <p>\n          Das Messen am \u201eOhr des Sch\u00fctzen\u201c wird aus mehreren Gr\u00fcnden problematisch. Neben der F\u00e4higkeit des Schalld\u00e4mpfers, L\u00e4rm zu reduzieren, beeinflusst der Raum zwischen dem Messger\u00e4t am \u201eOhr des Sch\u00fctzen\u201c und der M\u00fcndung des Schalld\u00e4mpfers das Ergebnis erheblich.         <\/p>\n        <p>\n          Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie h\u00e4tten einen sehr kurzen, aber effizienten Schalld\u00e4mpfer, der mit einem kurzen Lauf getestet wird. Dieser Schalld\u00e4mpfer wird mit einem viel l\u00e4ngeren Schalld\u00e4mpfer verglichen, der nicht so effizient ist wie der andere, und ebenfalls mit einem l\u00e4ngeren Lauf getestet. Beide Ergebnisse w\u00e4ren irref\u00fchrend, da der Abstand zwischen Messger\u00e4t und M\u00fcndung bei den beiden Tests \u2013 vielleicht sogar um einige Dezimeter \u2013 variiert. Das Ergebnis k\u00f6nnte sogar zeigen, dass der l\u00e4ngere, weniger effiziente Schalld\u00e4mpfer einen niedrigeren Ger\u00e4uschpegel aufweist als der mit besserer Leistung.           <\/p>\n        <p>\n          Das oben Besprochene wird bei verschiedenen Sch\u00fctzen unterschiedliche Erfahrungen hervorrufen. Die Wahl des Kalibers ist der Hauptfaktor, aber auch die Laufl\u00e4nge wird dazu f\u00fchren, dass der Klang anders wahrgenommen wird.         <\/p>\n      <\/article>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section class=\"guide-section\">\n      <div class=\"guide-sec-header\">\n        <h2 class=\"guide-sec-title\">Unser Standard<\/h2>\n        <p class=\"guide-sec-sub\">Wie wir das Mikrofon positionieren \u2013 jedes einzelne Mal<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"guide-two-cols\">\n        <article class=\"guide-card\">\n          <h3>Prim\u00e4re Messposition<\/h3>\n          <p>\n            Der MIL-Standard legt zwei Optionen f\u00fcr die Positionierung des Schallpegelmessers (Mikrofon) fest \u2013 beziehungsweise eine mit der Option, eine Referenz am \u201eSch\u00fctzenohr\u201c hinzuzuf\u00fcgen.          <\/p>\n          <p>\n            Die erste und wichtigste Position des Schallpegelmessers ist in einem 90-Grad-Winkel, 100 cm links vom M\u00fcndungsaustritt des Schalld\u00e4mpfers. We use MIL-STD-1474D for all of our sound measurements according to\n            the standard, and by that, we can present a correct result from our silencer's noise\n            measurements.\n          <\/p>\n          <p>\n            Measuring the sound levels, or noise levels, from firearms equipped with a silencer\n            require extensive experience and knowledge. The typical sound or noise from a firearm\n            is generated from two things. The first one is a sudden release of hot, high-pressure\n            propelling gases in the bore, and the other is the sound of the bullet in flight\n            (sonic boom).\n          <\/p>\n          <p>\n            The noise from the sonic boom, or the projectile that's shot, is generated at a far\n            distance outside of a firearm and\/or outside of a firearm equipped with a silencer,\n            and cannot be addressed by the silencer. The sound from the bullet's supersonic speed\n            (sonic boom) or when the bullet hits something has a higher noise level than many expect.\n            This can be illustrated when shooting in an open field compared to shooting in a deep\n            forest, where the sound will bounce back with higher force than in the open field.\n          <\/p>\n          <p>\n            The noise generated from the release of hot, high-pressure gases are gases from the\n            actual gunpowder explosion. These gases have extremely high pressure and create an\n            impulse sound when leaving the bore\/barrel, and will quickly expand to the pressure\n            that's in our ambient air. This gas can be reduced by certain techniques in a silencer,\n            by slowing down and reducing the pressure on the gases before released out into the\n            atmosphere (ambient air).\n          <\/p>\n        <\/article>\n\n        <aside class=\"guide-aside\">\n          <p class=\"guide-aside-label\">Quick definition<\/p>\n          <h3 class=\"guide-aside-title\">Two sources of noise<\/h3>\n          <p><strong>Propelling gases.<\/strong> Hot, high-pressure gases leaving the barrel. Stalon AB uses this method for all noise measurements with an exact setup\n          according to the terms of the standard. This is a very important procedure to be able to\n          present a precise and accurate result of noise reduction of the Stalon silencers.\n        <\/p>\n        <p>\n          MIL-STD-1474D specifies the exact procedure and how to perform the test, including sound\n          level meter type, microphone positions, operator positions, surroundings, etc. It indicates\n          central values to implement a correct measurement and have a reliable and continuous result.\n        <\/p>\n        <p>\n          Something important to understand when discussing noise reduction and comparing silencers is\n          how the actual noise measurement was executed and why. We measure noise levels accordingly\n          with the current standard, which we name MIL-standard in-house. Besides the silencer's\n          ability to reduce noise, the space between the meter at \"shooter's ear\" and the silencer's\n          muzzle will affect the result significantly.\n        <\/p>\n        <p>\n          Play with the thought of having a silencer that's very short, but efficient, tested with a\n          short barrel. This silencer will be compared against a silencer that's much longer, and not\n          as efficient as the other, and will also be tested with a longer barrel. Both results will be\n          misleading since the space between the meter and muzzle differ between the two tests \u2013 maybe\n          even a couple of decimeters. The result might even show that the longer silencer that's less\n          efficient has a lower noise level than the one with better performance.\n        <\/p>\n        <p>\n          What's discussed above will cause different experiences for different shooters. The choice of\n          caliber is the main affecting factor, but the barrel length as well will cause the sound to\n          appear different.\n        <\/p>\n      <\/article>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section class=\"guide-section\">\n      <div class=\"guide-sec-header\">\n        <h2 class=\"guide-sec-title\">Our standard<\/h2>\n        <p class=\"guide-sec-sub\">How we position the microphone \u2013 every single time<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"guide-two-cols\">\n        <article class=\"guide-card\">\n          <h3>Primary measurement position<\/h3>\n          <p>\n            MIL-standard specifies two options for positioning the noise meter (microphone) \u2013 or rather\n            one with the option to add a reference at the \"shooter's ear\".\n          <\/p>\n          <p>\n            The first, and most important position of the noise meter, is placed at a 90-degree angle,\n            100&nbsp;cm left from the bore exit of the silencer.
